Acrylic

Cast or extruded grade, chip load, cutter geometry, protective film and chip evacuation influence melting and whitening. A routed edge may still require polishing. Use the acrylic CNC cutting guide to prepare the test request.

ACP / ACM

Send us the total panel thickness, aluminum-skin thickness, core construction, coating and required remaining rear skin before we approve a fold groove.

Soft aluminum

Our engineers review the exact alloy, part, spindle configuration, fixture, chip removal and cooling or lubrication. We do not position K45MT as a metal machining center.

Workholding example

Example: Small acrylic letters move after cut-through

This is a common sign-shop problem: a full sheet looks secure, but small acrylic letters can move as soon as the final profile cut removes most of their holding area.

Common mistakeLarge panels and small letters use the same full-depth profile strategy.
What happensThe smallest letters can rotate or shift during the final cut, which ruins the edge and forces a remake.
Why it happensOnce the part is separated, the effective holding area becomes tiny. Open zones, spoilboard leakage and cut order can release it too early.
Better approachClose unused zones, keep the spoilboard flat, cut the smallest parts later, and use onion skin, tabs, tape or a fixture where needed.

CorelDRAW, Illustrator or AutoCAD files do not normally run the machine directly. The final controller requires CAM-generated machine code from a verified postprocessor.

  1. Confirm the sheet material, thickness and protective surface.
  2. Check the design for open vectors, duplicate lines and unsuitable details.
  3. Generate the toolpath with the correct CAM software and postprocessor.
  4. Select the cutter and machining sequence.

Standard production lead time is approximately 45 days after deposit and after machine configuration, voltage, options, drawings and required technical details are confirmed. Shipping time is not included.

Custom requirements, order quantity, additional tests or delayed confirmation can change the schedule.

Warranty and support

We provide a one-year machine warranty from the date you receive the machine. Warranty handling begins with remote diagnosis. Wearing parts, consumables, misuse, improper maintenance, unauthorized modification and human-caused damage are not standard warranty items.

We provide manuals, operation videos, remote guidance, online training, maintenance guidance and troubleshooting. We can arrange paid on-site service under the final agreement.

These are the questions we usually get once a buyer has narrowed the choice down to K45MT.

Do we need ATC if most jobs use one or two cutters?

Usually not. We recommend K45MT when one cutter completes most jobs and occasional manual changes do not disrupt production. We recommend an ATC machine when several tool changes are part of the normal program or reset time is already a bottleneck.

Will vacuum hold small acrylic letters?

Not by itself. Full-sheet holding and separated-part holding are different conditions. The smallest parts may need zone isolation, a surfaced spoilboard, tabs, onion skin, tape or a fixture. Send us the smallest recurring letter and we will review the holding method.

Can it process acrylic, PVC, MDF, plywood and ACP?

Yes, under material-specific conditions. We change the cutter, workholding, chip or dust removal and parameters for each material. We require effective dust extraction for MDF, heat and chip control for acrylic, and panel-construction and groove-depth review for ACP.

Can K45MT cut printed graphics by registration marks?

We do not include camera registration in the currently confirmed standard K45MT configuration. Send us the printed-board workflow, registration-mark format and required contour result. We may recommend a vision-equipped platform instead.

Can it route soft aluminum?

Only after our engineering review. We evaluate and test the exact alloy, part, fixture, cutter, spindle, chip removal and cooling or lubrication method. We do not recommend K45MT for steel or heavy metal removal.

Will our current design files run directly?

Design files normally require CAM processing and a controller-specific postprocessor. Send us the software names, versions, original file and any current G-code sample so we can verify the final workflow.

Why are exact electrical and machine dimensions confirmed in the quotation?

Those values depend on the final spindle, vacuum equipment, controller, destination voltage and supplied options. We state the exact utilities, footprint, weight and packing information in our quotation and technical agreement before we approve the order.

What are the standard lead time and warranty?

Our standard production lead time is approximately 45 days after deposit and technical confirmation, excluding shipping. We provide a one-year machine warranty from the date you receive the machine, subject to diagnosis, exclusions and the final signed agreement.
