Heavy-duty 1325 / 4×8 CNC router

Heavy Duty 1325 CNC Router Machine K45MT

K45MT is built for furniture, door, panel and custom woodworking where full-sheet capacity and a simple manual-tool-change production process are the right fit. Its heavy steel frame, 1300 × 2500 × 200 mm working travel, 6 kW air-cooled spindle, vacuum table and DSP A11 handheld control create a practical platform for repeated cutting, grooving, profiling and engraving on flat workpieces.

If most programs use one cutter or only occasional changes, K45MT keeps the process straightforward. If several cutters are repeatedly required in every normal program, an ATC router is the better direction before manual tool changes become the production bottleneck.

Heavy-duty structure

Stable 4×8 Routing for Repeated Cutting, Grooving and Engraving

Repeated sheet cutting puts continuous load through the frame, gantry, guides and workholding system. K45MT uses a heavy steel frame, square linear guides, stepper drive with Leadshine drivers and a vacuum table to keep the machine focused on stable flat-part routing rather than light-duty engraving alone.

The 6 kW air-cooled spindle gives the machine useful cutting capacity for heavier woodworking tasks, but spindle power is only one part of the process. Cutter diameter, material, depth per pass, tool projection, duty cycle and required finish still determine the correct machining setup.

Is K45MT the Right Machine for Your Production?

K45MT fits well when

  • Full 4×8 / 1325 sheet capacity is required.
  • Parts are mainly flat and processed from the top.
  • Cutting, grooving, pocketing, profiling and engraving make up most of the work.
  • One cutter or only occasional manual cutter changes are normal.
  • Manual loading and unloading match the required output.
  • Vacuum holding or an auxiliary fixture can retain the part safely.

Choose another configuration when

  • Several cutters are repeatedly required inside one normal program.
  • Dense connector drilling or horizontal holes dominate the process.
  • Automatic loading, labeling and unloading are required.
  • The workpiece needs undercuts or simultaneous multi-axis access.
  • Small, porous or irregular parts cannot be retained safely on the proposed table setup.

Structure and manufacturing

Heavy Frame, Linear Motion and Vacuum Workholding

The K45MT structure is designed around repeated 3-axis routing rather than complex automation. The heavy frame supports the gantry and table, square linear guides control axis movement, and the vacuum worktable provides broad support for sheet materials.

The complete factory layout should leave service access around the machine, a clear loading path and enough space for dust extraction, electrical access and material handling.

Configuration choices

Choose the Configuration Around the Job

DSP A11 handheld control

Send the CAM software name and a representative program so the postprocessor and controller setup can be checked before production.

Vacuum workholding

Vacuum is effective for suitable flat MDF, plywood, melamine and other sheet materials. Small parts, porous boards, warped stock or irregular workpieces may need tabs, onion skin, clamps or dedicated fixtures.

Dust extraction and rotary work

Dust collection should be sized around material and runtime. A 4th-axis rotary option can be added for suitable cylindrical work after diameter, length, material and required features are confirmed.

Custom Size and Factory Integration

The standard K45MT working travel is 1300 × 2500 × 200 mm. Quick CNC can configure alternate machine sizes when the recurring sheet or part exceeds the standard working envelope.

Destination voltage, phase and frequency should be confirmed before production. The final layout also needs to account for dust collection, controller position, material movement, operator access and maintenance clearance.

Tooling and workholding

Match the Cutter and Holding Method to the Material

Material / taskTypical process directionMain point to confirm
MDF / melamineCutting, grooves, pockets, profilesEdge chipping, dust extraction and small-part retention.
PlywoodCutting, slots, grooves, profilesVeneer tear-out, voids and cutter wear.
Solid woodProfiles, pockets, decorative workGrain, moisture, knots, stock flatness and holding.
Acrylic / PVCCutting and engravingHeat, chip evacuation, cutter geometry and finish.
Foam / compositesCutting and shapingDust or chip control and material-specific tooling.
Soft aluminumConditional cutting or engravingTooling, holding, cutting depth, chip control and sample validation.

A representative sample is worth testing when surface finish, small-part holding, unfamiliar material or a defined dimensional requirement is important.

Pre-shipment checks

Machine Checks Before Shipment

K45MT is assembled and checked before shipment. The applicable checks depend on the final spindle, table, controller, voltage and options included in the order.

Typical pre-shipment work can include axis movement, reference functions, spindle operation, vacuum-system function, electrical functions, emergency-stop operation, visible assembly condition and representative sample machining when it is part of the agreed acceptance plan.

Measured accuracy, continuous-running duration or sample results are only published when the corresponding machine record supports the claim.

Manual Tool Change, ATC or Dedicated Drilling?

Keep K45MT manual tool change

Use this platform when most programs use one cutter or only occasional changes. It keeps the machine simple when extra automation does not remove a real bottleneck.

Move to ATC

If repeated cutter changes interrupt every normal job, an ATC router reduces the manual stops associated with changing tools and resetting tool length.

Move to drilling equipment

Selected top-side spindle drilling can stay on K45MT when hole quantity remains practical. Dense connector holes, horizontal drilling and six-side processing need dedicated drilling architecture.

Production process

A Typical K45MT Production Scenario

Load MDF, plywood, melamine or a flat solid-wood blank onto the table, set the work origin, run profile cutting, grooves, pockets or engraving, then unload the finished part for sanding, edge banding, side drilling or assembly as required.

This production process is strongest when the program does not stop repeatedly for different cutters. If the CAM file shows several cutter changes in every normal component, revisit the machine choice before the order is finalized.

Common Questions About K45MT

Is K45MT suitable for cabinet doors and furniture panels?

Yes. It is designed for flat-part routing such as cutting, grooves, pockets, profiles and engraving. Dense connector drilling or automatic sheet handling calls for another furniture-production configuration.

Why use a 6 kW air-cooled spindle?

The 6 kW spindle gives K45MT useful cutting capacity for heavier woodworking applications, but the final process still depends on tool diameter, depth, material, duty cycle and required finish.

When should I choose ATC instead?

Choose ATC when repeated cutter changes interrupt most normal programs. If one cutter or occasional manual changes cover the work, K45MT remains the simpler platform.

Can the vacuum table hold small parts?

Not automatically. Holding depends on sealed area, material porosity, spoilboard condition, vacuum zones and cut-through sequence. Small parts may need tabs, onion skin, clamps or fixtures.

Can K45MT drill cabinet holes?

It can perform selected top-side spindle drilling when hole quantity remains practical. Dense connector holes, horizontal drilling or six-side processing should move to dedicated drilling equipment.

Does 200 mm Z travel mean a 200 mm-thick part can be machined?

No. Usable material clearance depends on the table, spoilboard, fixture, cutter projection, spindle nose and safe retract position.

Can it process soft aluminum?

Soft aluminum can be considered only after the cutter, workholding, cutting depth, chip control and sample result are confirmed. K45MT is not positioned as a heavy-metal machining center.

Can I use my current CAM software?

Usually, if a compatible postprocessor is available for the selected controller. Send the software name, version and a representative program before production.
