Need more room than a 6090, but not a full 1325?

If your normal parts are too large for a 6090 but you do not need to load a full 4 × 8 ft sheet, the K1212T sits in a very practical middle ground. You get a 1,200 × 1,200 mm work area, a simple three-axis layout and a manual-tool-change setup that is easy to run for signs, wood parts, acrylic work and short batches.

Tell us what you actually cut. We will match the table, tooling, dust or chip control and optional systems to that job. If an option does not save time or solve a real production problem, there is no point making you pay for it.

A simple way to choose: start with your largest repeat part, then add room for the fixture and cutter. After that, look at how many tools you normally use. The “1212” name by itself does not tell you whether the machine is right for the job.

What you are actually getting in the K1212T structure

Welded frame and square-table layout

The frame gives you a square 1,200 × 1,200 mm working area without taking up the same floor space as a full-sheet 1325. You will still need room around the machine for the control cabinet, the operator, dust collection and normal maintenance.

Ball-screw motion on all three axes

The standard K1212T uses ball screws on X, Y and Z. That is only one part of stable cutting, though. Clean guides, proper lubrication, solid workholding and a sensible toolpath still matter every day.

2.2 kW water-cooled spindle

The 2.2 kW spindle is water cooled. For longer jobs, keep the cooling loop flowing properly, use clean water, check the hoses and protect the system from freezing if your workshop gets cold.

Choose options only when they solve a real production problem

Mechanical clamps or vacuum

Mechanical clamps make more sense for porous, irregular, warped, thick or very small parts. If you mainly run flat sheet material and loading time is slowing you down, a vacuum table may be worth the extra cost.

Manual change or linear ATC

If most jobs use one cutter, or only a short tool sequence, manual tool change is perfectly workable. If every program keeps stopping for tool changes, that is when ATC starts earning its money.

Flat table or rotary axis

A rotary axis is useful only when the part really needs it. Send the diameter, length, weight and how you want to hold the part. We also need to check cutter access and how much flat-table space the rotary setup will take away.

Tooling and workholding: keep it practical

A bigger spindle does not magically give you a good part. Cutter choice, toolpath, hold-down, chip removal and the way you check the sample all matter. Send us the real material and drawing, and we can work from that instead of guessing.

  • MDF and particle board: control fine dust, porous vacuum leakage and small-part retention.
  • Plywood: check face veneer, core quality, cutting direction and visible-edge acceptance.
  • Solid wood: allow for grain direction, moisture, knots, warping and internal stress.
  • Acrylic and plastics: manage heat, chip evacuation, cutter geometry and protective-film condition.
  • Soft aluminum: use a suitable alloy, conservative process, rigid fixture and controlled chip removal; this is not a heavy-metal machine.

What is the K1212T working area?

The reference working area is 1,200 × 1,200 × 150 mm. This is programmed travel, not guaranteed material thickness; fixtures, cutter length, dust hood and safe clearance reduce the usable workpiece envelope.

Can the K1212T process a full 4 × 8 ft sheet?

No. A complete 1,220 × 2,440 mm sheet does not fit the square 1212 work envelope in one setup. Quick CNC will recommend a 1325 or nesting machine for regular full-sheet production.

Which materials are suitable?

The machine is positioned for wood, MDF, plywood, particle board, acrylic, PVC, plastics, foam and selected composites. Soft aluminum requires a controlled light-duty process and is not the machine's primary role.

Does the K1212T include automatic tool changing?

The base reference configuration uses manual tool changing. A linear ATC is listed as an option and should be selected only after reviewing the normal tool count and program sequence.

What controller does it use?

The reference configuration uses a DSP A11 handheld controller with USB file transfer. Quick CNC confirms the compatible CAM postprocessor before order.

What electrical supply is listed?

The reference configuration lists AC 220 V, single phase, 50/60 Hz. The final electrical design must be confirmed against the destination factory supply.
