Built for Complex Parts, Not Basic Flat-Panel Cutting

Best-fit buyers

Mold makers, prototype workshops, sculpture and model producers, custom furniture component manufacturers, composite part processors and CNC service companies.

Best-fit workpieces

Deep or curved surfaces, five-side parts, shaped solid-wood components, foam and tooling-board molds, plastic or composite prototypes and parts with difficult tool-access angles.

Material scope

Wood, foam, tooling board, acrylic, plastics, resin and composites. Soft aluminium requires Quick CNC engineering confirmation of the complete process.

Five-Axis Access Reduces Repositioning on Complex Geometry

Three-axis routers approach the part from a fixed tool direction. The K1212-5A adds controlled rotary movement at the five-axis head, allowing the tool to reach multiple faces and continuously changing surfaces. This can reduce manual reclamping and reference changes when the part geometry, tool clearance and CAM strategy support one-setup machining.

Quick CNC can match the head movement, table layout, tooling, fixture plan and sample test to your drawing before we prepare the machine quotation.

Where the K1212-5A Fits—and Where It Does Not

Strong fit

  • Molds, patterns and prototype models
  • Complex 3D carving and sculpture work
  • Curved or shaped furniture components
  • Multi-face drilling, profiling and trimming
  • Irregular parts that need flexible T-slot clamping

Choose another machine when

  • Your main work is sheet nesting, cabinet panels or simple top-face routing
  • A 4-axis spindle swing is sufficient for the geometry
  • The job requires routine steel, stainless steel or heavy metal removal
  • The required tolerance needs a dedicated metal machining center and thermal control

Core Components Behind the Machining Capability

DEMAS five-axis head used on the K1212-5A configuration

DEMAS five-axis head

Provides the tool-orientation freedom required for multi-surface access, inclined features and complex 3D paths.

Syntec servo motor and drive components for the K1212-5A

Syntec control and servo system

The listed five-axis control platform supports coordinated multi-axis motion and RTCP-related functions for suitable CAM programs.

Eight-position automatic tool changer for the K1212-5A

Eight-position ATC

Allows roughing, finishing, drilling and engraving tools to be assigned in one program without repeated manual changes.

Choose the Table and Workholding Around the Part

Single table

Suitable when the part envelope, fixture access and loading pattern fit one working station.

Double table

Consider the double-working-table layout when alternating loading, multiple fixtures or production rhythm justifies the additional station.

Vacuum or T-slot strategy

The aluminium T-slot table supports mechanical fixtures for irregular workpieces. Vacuum options can be discussed when the part surface and holding force make vacuum practical.

Configuration and Customization Boundaries

Quick CNC can configure the working layout, table and fixture arrangement, spindle/tooling package, dust or chip management, safety protection, electrical standard and software integration where engineering review supports the application. Custom work begins only after the drawing, material, process and site requirements are clear.

Machining, Tooling, Clamping and Sample-Test Plan

  1. Review the 2D drawing or 3D model and identify all tool-access directions.
  2. Confirm material grade, stock size, part weight and fixture surfaces.
  3. Define roughing, semi-finishing, finishing, drilling and trimming tools.
  4. Check reach, interference, toolholder clearance and rotary-axis limits in CAM.
  5. Build a fixture that controls movement without blocking required faces.
  6. Run a representative sample and record the agreed inspection method before production approval.

Testing, Quality Control and Documentation

Quick CNC's quality-control framework across its product series includes CMM inspection, laser interferometer testing, Ballbar testing and 24–72-hour continuous-operation testing. The exact K1212-5A test combination, duration, acceptance limits and measured results are defined by the machine test plan and order documentation.

Quick CNC has manufactured CNC machinery since 2006. Our team includes 25 designers and 20 after-sales engineers who support configuration, documentation, installation guidance and service.

Model-specific CE scope and destination-market documents are confirmed before order completion. We do not publish unverified certificate or measured-performance claims for an individual machine.

K1212-5A FAQ

What work is the K1212-5A designed for?

It is designed for complex multi-surface parts, molds, prototypes, sculptures and shaped furniture components that need five-axis tool access. For basic sheet nesting or flat cabinet panels, Quick CNC normally recommends a simpler 3-axis ATC solution.

Can the K1212-5A use one table or two tables?

Yes. The source configuration includes a single-table layout and a double-working-table option. Quick CNC matches the table layout to part size, fixture access, loading method and production rhythm before quotation.

Which materials can it process?

The machine is primarily matched to wood, foam, tooling board, plastics, acrylic, resin and composite parts. Soft aluminium is conditional and requires engineering confirmation of grade, tooling, workholding, chip control and cooling or lubrication.

Does it include automatic tool changing?

The reference configuration uses a 9 kW ATC spindle and an eight-position automatic tool changer. The final toolholder, collet, tooling package and magazine configuration are confirmed in the quotation.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Send Quick CNC a 2D drawing or 3D model, material and grade, maximum part dimensions, part weight, tolerance and finish expectations, tooling sequence, batch size, power supply, air supply, extraction plan and destination country.

What are the MOQ, lead time and warranty?

Quick CNC has no minimum order quantity for this machine. Standard production lead time is approximately 45 days after order and configuration confirmation. The machine is normally shipped by container and includes a standard one-year warranty under the final signed agreement.
